America is the home of the free, because of the brave. Veterans fought so we can enjoy the liberties we have. Many, however, return home with skills, though valuable on the battlefield, are not conducive to civilian employment. Their unemployment, together with wounds which often are disfiguring, creates impossible, implausible and tragic situations.
Michael has worked in the government helping veterans transition from military to civilian life. He wrote his 2nd book, Bridging the Gap from Soldier to Civilian: A Road Map to Success for Veterans specifically to prepare our soldiers and equip them with the mental and professional tools they need before they transition.
Michael believes veterans deserve better healthcare, counseling, social programs and retraining opportunities. He will work with the Administration to ensure his veteran-friendly agenda passes The House.
